It goes without saying that the wedding ceremony is the cornerstone of your wedding day. Yet, all too often, the least amount of time is spent on planning and considering the ceremony.
Think about it, how much time is spent on music, food, decor, transportation, the dress, invitation lists, reception venue, etc.
And how much time is spent writing vows or planning a reading or two?
We at Carnival Palms tend to be a bit obsessed when it comes to the ceremony. But really, everything should stem from the wedding ceremony.
Here are questions you should consider when planning your ceremony:
How many readings would you like to incorporate?
What family or friends will be included in the ceremony?
How long do you want the ceremony to be?
Who will be standing with you during the wedding?
Do you want to add a unity ceremony?
Who will be giving the bride away?
Do you want a religious or civil ceremony?
Which officiant or minister would you like to perform your wedding?
(Here are some readings for spicing up your wedding ceremony wording.)
We recently spoke to the wedding ceremony experts over at Wanderlust Bay Ministries and they had this to say about making your wedding:
“One of the easiest ways to add a little beauty and fun to a wedding ceremony is through a unity ceremony. Every wedding has a ring ceremony, the unity ceremony is a way to add something unique.”
And that’s why we are in the business…to help make your wedding unique and beautiful!
